My sweaty band arrived! I got one with hearts cause I’m a romantic fool.
I did finish week 2 day 1 of the Couch to 5k yesterday. It was hard, my right leg was BURNING. BURNING! but I pushed through it anyway. I think the Couch to 5k may be going a little fast for me. I read how Carly from http://www.carlyshrinks.com/ used the Couch to 5k when she was 349 lbs. She said that sometimes she would repeat a week if she didn’t feel comfortable with it. So I think that’s what I will do because 3 days of running for 90 second intervals is not enough for me to move on to the next phase.
I joined Black Girls Run and the Phoenix chapter of BGR on Facebook. I’m nervous to do a run with them because
#1 – I get so out of breath after 1 minute. I don’t want to be the only one out there walking every 2 minutes.
#2 – they run outside and I heard that is harder, plus it’s so hot outside in Phoenix. I like the cool A/C in the gym.
#3- they run at 6am. i don’t even know if I can wake myself up that early.
But I really would like to make some friends and I would like someone to run with, it seems fun.
Yesterday I met mrdeee for a drink per his request. I drove 30 minutes all the way out to mesa in my new to me car. I love my Saturn. The KJ (karaoke dj) that we always follow was there, his name is Mike. So usually when we go out I order hot wings, but this time I ordered a grilled chicken ceasar salad which was the healthiest thing I could find on the menu, lol. There wasn’t too much dressing on it. I’m not saying I’m never going to order hot wings again (I love me some hot wings), but I just felt like eating something healthier.
But, my calories went waay up when I drank 2 martinis and a Smirnoff Ice. Why does alcohol have so many calories in it? Those martinis were good though. I know it’s not PC to say, but I love alcohol, and I like hard liquor. I don’t drink beer, it’s nasty to me. When I added up all my calories yesterday, it was close to 2000 calories. My goal is 1800 per day. Oh well. “D” says that the alcohol calories just get peed out. I don’t know about that theory.
