Happy 2013 everyone,
It’s time to assess where I am at. I didn’t go to the gym in December and I gained 7 pounds. My weight is at 250.5 lbs. I ate alot of cake and drank alot of liquor last month.
I’ve decided to start off the new year with a new attitude.
I’m going to go to bed at 9pm so I can wake up at 7am and get to the gym for yoga, bodyworks and bootcamp class. I’m going to stick with my jogging and train myself to run a 5k. I have a race that I’m registered for in March and I want to run the whole thing so I really need to train.
Against common wisdom I am going on a actual diet for a month. It’s called a Precontest Diet and I got it from Oxygen magazine. I need to clean up my eating and I think this pre contest diet will do the trick. I already went out and bought all the groceries for it.
It consists of 6 meals:
Meal 1: 5 egg whites, 1/2 cup oatmeal, 1/4 cup blueberries
Meal 2: 4 oz chicken, 4 oz yam, 1 cup broccoli
Meal 3: protein shake
Meal 4: 4 oz tilapia, 4 oz red potato, 1 cup green beans
Meal 5: 4 oz salmon, 1 cup green beans
Meal 6: (I changed meal 6, it’s my only adjustment on this diet) 6 oz Chobani greek yogurt (fruit variety)
This diet is about 1500 calories a day. I am allowing myself 1 cheat meal per week on Sunday. I won’t drink any alcohol unless it’s my cheat meal. I’m also going to drink a gallon of water each day.
