I’ve noticed a trend. As soon as I finish a race, I don’t want to exercise. I only exercised 1 day since I ran my race last Saturday. I even blew off my trainer on one day which I NEVER do. It seems like the only thing that can motivate me to get out and exercise is an upcoming race. Anyway, until I can figure out how to stop this nonsense I’m just going to have to keep running races.
So I signed up for a 5k for May 25. It’ll be my first 5k and I REALLY want to run the whole thing. I wanted to run the last race but couldn’t run the whole thing. I’m going to train properly for this next race. 2 months should give me enough time.
I’m on week 6 of the couch to 5k which is a 9 week program. I can run 10 minute intervals but not with ease. I’m going to stick with the 10 minute intervals for the next week then try to move on to week 7 of the couch to 5k. I tried moving on to week 7 before but I could not run for 20 – 25 minutes without walking. I did it once, but I couldn’t repeat it.
According to the couch to 5k program I’m doing, I can run a 5k when I am running for 30 minutes without walking.
Of course that depends on my speed and my speed right now is SUPER slow. I do a 4.5 on the treadmill when I am running. That’s a light jog for some people but its super strenuous for me.
This running goal is on my bucket list along with the figure competition.
oh hey I made a new video:
