Sunday Weigh In

Today  my weight is 258 lbs.

I didn’t gain weight like I was expecting to do because of my period. I didn’t lose any either but thats to be expected. I’m satisfied with that. happy I didn’t gain. I’ve been on this journey for 2 months and I’ve lost 17 lbs. So I’m averaging 8.5 lbs. per month and 2.125 lbs. per week. It’s a teeny bit slower than I was hoping for, but they say that taking weight off slower is better for you and helps prevent too much sagging skin. So I’m ok with this weight loss rate.

This week I tried to eat a bit more calories to atleast hit my basal metabolic rate intake.

I also added a post workout meal, with a carb of 160 calories and 30 – 32 carbs, my carb is rice cakes or these oatmeal cookies I found at walmart. Also added a protein shake post workout. I created these post workout carb goals from reading Erik Ledins Lean Bodies Consulting website and forum. If I could hire a trainer it would be him because his clients have no rebound, they do minimal cardio and they have great long term results. I think he is the best of the best. He is an online trainer, and I contacted him about training me but he said I would do better with in person one on one training right now because I am not comfortable in the gym in the weight section. Right now I take a weight training group exercise class called Bodyworks which utilizes low weights high reps. I really want to transition to heavy weights but I am not comfortable using the weights on my own. I feel like I would look stupid and wouldn’t know what I was doing. So I just stick to Bodyworks for now.

This week I exercised 5 out of 7 days. I did Bodyworks on most of those days but I did get in some cardio. My running is getting a little better and I am ready to start week 5 of the couch to 5k! I think there is only 6 weeks left till my 10K race with www.phoenix10k.com

My sleeping schedule is much better. I go to sleep around 10pm most nights and wake up at 6am. It’s hard cause new episodes of my favorite tv shows (the kardashians, and married to jonas) come on at like 10 pm on Sunday nights. But the thing about E! is they show reruns all week so I wont really miss anything. It’s much more important to me to have a normal sleeping schedule. It makes my life so much better.
